Raised on a farm east of Hoisington, Kansas, Sam Demel is familiar with rural Kansas. His life travels have taken him to South Africa while in the Peace Corps and a tour around Europe. However he earned his education and work experience in the Sunflower state.
He has vast experience in the economic development field, including grant writing. Deciding to pursue a career in administration, Demel earned a masters in public administration from WSU in 2015. That's a continuation, as he earned his bachelor's in business administration with public administration in 1989.
