Attempted burglary call turns into something else

A Waynoka man was arrested after allegedly making lewd comments about a three-year-old child.

Court records show on Nov. 15 about 1:17 p.m., Waynoka Police Officer Ian Thorp received a call from Woods County dispatch about an attempted in-progress burglary of an occupied residence on Logan Street. Dispatch advised the subject trying to beak in was Cole Mason Bence. Since Bence is known to have substance abuse issues and a potential for violence, Thorp made a radio request for State Park Ranger Adam Honeyman to respond to the address as well.
