KSHSAA now allows 'parents only' as spectators to school's winter activities through Jan. 28

At South Barber's December Board of Education meeting Monday night grade 7-12 Principal Brent Shaffer updated the board on the spectator situation at basketball games and other extra-curricular activities with the COVID-19 pandemic. Shaffer is the voting delegate for the Heart of the Plains League, of which SB is a member. They answer to the Kansas High School Activities Association (KSHSAA).

Shaffer said delegates were inundated with texts, emails, phone calls, other forms of social media, from parents, students and fans begging them to allow at least some spectators at ballgames.
