Woods County Excise Board approves monthly appropriations

The Woods County Excise Board met Wednesday morning for their December meeting. Vice-Chairman Chris Olson opened the meeting in the absence of Chairman Bob Seivert. Board member Joe Shirley and County Clerk Shelley Reed were also present.
After approving the minutes of the Nov. 18 special meeting, the board members voted to approve the following monthly appropriations:

The board acknowledged the transfer of appropriations within the Highway Fund from Districts 1 and 2 from the CIRB account to District 1 and 2 personal services account in the amount of $18,741.91 each.
Olson and Shirley also acknowledged the transfer of appropriations within the General Fund from General Government Sales Tax M&O account to Rural Water Project account in the amount of $50,000. Reed explained Rural Water District 3 received a REAP grant for rehabilitation of two water towers. The county money being transferred will cover bills for that work, and the money will then be reimbursed from OEDA through the REAP grant.
Board members approved the 2020-2021 School Treasurers’ Service Budget and Billing Breakdown for the schools in the county. The county treasurer is billing the schools for services provided by his office with $11,850 for personal service, $850 for software and $1,300 for miscellaneous supplies and travel for a total of $14,000.
Of that total $5,070 will be billed to the Alva schools with a budgeted amount of $20,327,952.76; $3,841 will be billed to Waynoka schools with a budget of $15,399,985.74; $520 will be billed to Freedom schools with a budget of $2,087,480.07; and $4,569 will be billed to Northwest Technology Center with a budget of $18,320,192.51.
There was no new business so the meeting was adjourned.
