Nowak Construction awarded bid for Kiowa's major water improvement project

Kiowa's city council met Monday night in a special meeting to award a bid for the major waterline replacement project.
BG Consultant Engineer Sam Johnson attended the meeting. Johnson has worked with the City of Kiowa on this project since the beginning.
Johnson said the city received bids from seven contractors for the Water System Improvements Projects (Part A and B) on Friday, Dec. 18. Monday night, Dec. 21, the council awarded the project to Nowak Construction Company of Goddard, Kansas. Johnson said that Nowak submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of $6,249,365 dollars.
