December 23, 2020

ALVA, Okla. – Northwestern Oklahoma State University football has completed their schedule for Spring 2021, the school announced Tuesday. The schedule for Northwestern will take place in February and March.

The Rangers will take part in four scrimmages/non-conference contests this spring against two Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association members and one Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponent. These contests will not count as official games.

In their first contest, 468 days after the last game played, NWOSU will host Missouri Southern State on Feb. 27. This game will be the first meeting as an NCAA DII match-up between the two teams. Last season, Missouri Southern finished with a 2-9 record.

The Red-and-Black will travel to Hays, Kansas, to take on Fort Hays State on March 6. This will also be the first-ever meeting between the Rangers and Tigers. Fort Hays State finished with a 8-3 record in the MIAA in 2019.

Northwestern will stay on the road on March 11 to take on Missouri Southern in Joplin, Missouri.

To wrap up their spring contests, NWOSU will host New Mexico Highlands on March 27. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Last season, New Mexico Highlands finished with a 2-9 record in the RMAC.
