When the pandemic struck, we found ourselves in an economic turndown that fortunately has affected other parts of the country more than ours. While some businesses closed indefinitely, others were forced to cut back on hours, leading to many people filing for unemployment.
Some were able to keep up with rent or mortgage payments, but found themselves in reliance on credit cards. Unable to pay them off monthly, the charges roll over and you become part of an endless cycle of paying the minimum while the balance continues to grow.
