Municipal election to be held April 6

Four Alva City Council seats will be up for election in 2021. Currently filling those positions are: Daniel Winters, Ward 1 Seat 1; Chris Eckhardt, Ward 2 Seat 1, Dr. Bo Hannaford, Ward 3 Seat 1, and Brian Wallis, Ward 4 Seat 1.

During the Dec. 21 meeting, city council members approved Resolution 2020-016 calling for a municipal election to be held on April 6. The filing period for municipal elections is Feb. 1-3. Following the April 6 election, newly elected officials take office at noon on April 19.
