5th graders give to local food bank

FOREGO GIFT EXCHANGE TO GIVE TO LOCAL FOOD BANK – The 5th graders in Krista Pollock's class at South Barber decided to forego a gift exchange and instead collect food for Kiowa's Food Bank headed by the Ministerial Alliance. This has become a tradition in Pollock's class to teach students about giving to others. The idea of giving coincides perfectly with the word of the month at the elementary for December – generosity. When the students delivered their gift of food, Barbara Stevens of the Ministerial Alliance explained how the food bank works.
