School resumes Tuesday, Jan. 5

• Trophy auction and dinner that night

After a professional development day on Monday, Jan. 4, the second semester classes will begin at Freedom Public Schools on Tuesday, Jan. 5. That’s also the date for the 2021 Freedom 4-H and FFA Trophy Auction.

The meal will begin at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria with a menu of pulled pork, potato salad, baked beans and dessert. The trophy auction begins at 7 p.m. All funds raised will go back to the youth of Freedom and donations are greatly appreciated. Thursday through Saturday, Jan. 7-9, the high school basketball teams will be playing in the Medford Tournament. That will be followed by away games at Darrouzett on Tuesday, Jan. 12, and Hardesty on Friday, Jan. 15. The next home games are on Monday, Jan. 18, against Deer Creek-Lamont starting at 6:30 p.m.


Monday, Jan. 18, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. There will be no school on this holiday.
