Two people die in separate New Years shootings in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Wichita recorded two fatal shootings in separate incidents just hours into the New Year, police said.
Police responding to a call about 12:05 a.m. Friday in southeast Wichita found 22-year-old Gabrial Campos-Torres lying on a sidewalk. He had been shot and died at the scene, police spokesman Charley Davidson said.
Noah Martin, 18, of Wichita and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, Davidson said.
The second shooting was reported at 4 a.m. Friday at a New Year's party with at least 50 people in northwest Wichita
