Goldbugs lose to Pawhuska Huskies 43-33

After dominating Tulsa CHEF on Thursday at the Pawhuska Tournament, the Alva Goldbugs ran into a ferocious Huskies team Friday night. The Class 2A Pawhuska boys are ranked ninth in the state with a 7-1 season record. The Goldbugs went into the game with a 9-5 record.

The Huskies had an obvious height advantage with several players measuring over the six foot mark. They dominated the first half with an aggressive and fast playing style that left Alva trailing 8-3 after the first quarter. The Goldbugs adapted and pulled ahead 21-19 at the half.
