Kelly Waldon Springer was born on March 28, 1956, and died on January 22, 2021, after a short illness.

Born to Jack Dean and Mary Jean (Slack) Springer, Kelly spent his childhood on the family farm east of Carmen, Oklahoma. Kelly started his life of hard work at a young age, dedicating his earliest years to making mischief for his older siblings, Vicky, Kirk and Janet. Kelly was born into a family that valued loyalty, unconditional love and a good off-color joke.

He graduated from Carmen-Dacoma High School in 1974 and Alva Vocational Technical School with training in auto mechanics.
