Filing opens Monday for Oklahoma municipal election

The municipal election filing period begins Monday, Feb. 1, in Oklahoma. Candidates may file at the county election board from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, Feb. 1-3.
Alfalfa County
In Alfalfa County, the City of Cherokee is a charter city with commissioners. Other county towns are governed by trustees. Offices open for filing in Cherokee are Commissioner at Large (the mayor), Treasurer and Commissioner for Ward 3. All are four year terms.
