This week we will go back to the Old Testament and read the first 21 chapters of Exodus. At the end of Genesis Jacob and his sons were reunited with Joseph in Egypt. Jacob and his sons came to Egypt during a famine in search of grain and offered themselves to be Pharaoh’s servants in exchange for a place to live. Exodus begins 430 years later, a few Egyptian leaders have lived and died and the current Pharaoh does not remember Joseph and what he did for Egypt.
