Burlington School News: What does a pink suitcase have to do with reading?

If you were to walk the halls at Burlington Public Schools, it is likely you would see the librarian, Mica Andrews, pulling a pink suitcase filled with books through the hall. Students have not been able to go to the library this school year due to Covid-19, but this did not stop Ms. Andrews from bringing the library to students.

This year Ms. Andrews has been challenging the kindergarten students to reach their reading goals. She aims to make reading fun for the students and does so by rewarding them for each goal met.

Their Accelerated Reader (AR) goal was two points for the first nine weeks...
