Oklahoma’s significant contribution to American culture has been noted many times. Especially has the Sooner State produced performers who excelled in the fields of acting and singing.
One native son who had success in both endeavors was Shelby Fredrick Wooley, known professionally as “Sheb.” This year marks the 100th anniversary of his birth.
