Vance AFB pilots to brief local pilots and citizens Feb. 27

Alva, Okla. – Two T-6A instructor pilots from the 71st Flying Training Wing Safety Office will be in Alva Saturday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. Major Adam Page and Capt. Matt Simpson will give local pilots and any interested citizens a briefing on the Vance AFB Mid-Air Collision Avoidance Program, local airspace use, low level training routes, and T-6A pattern operations in use at the Alva Regional Airport.
Briefing will begin at 10 a.m., followed by discussion with the pilots and lunch provided by the North West Pilots Association. Everyone is invited to attend.
The program is being sponsored by Alva Airport Manager Derrick Courson and local retired Air Force John Wiebner.
