Alva Goldbugs lose to Crossings Christian in regionals

The Alva Goldbugs have gained a lot of confidence in the last few games, but they ran into a different sort of opponent in Crossings Christian Saturday night in the finals of regionals. The Knights were ranked No. 1 in Class 3A at the end of the regular season, and they were playing before a very vocal home crowd. Crossings Christian lived up to their ranking, defeating Alva 55-39.
Crossings Christian started off at a fast pace, and the Goldbugs had a hard time keeping up. The Knights out-scored Alva 15-8 in the first quarter and continued the onslaught to lead 29-18 at the half.
