Alva Ladybugs finish season in 2OT loss to Perry

The Alva Ladybugs ended their season on a high note Saturday afternoon at Crossings Christian. Although they lost the second round regional playoff game, they forced sixth-ranked Perry into two overtimes.

The score was tied in the first, third and fourth quarters. Each of the teams logged five points in the first extra period, leading to the second overtime. The Ladybugs fought hard, but the Lady Maroons came out with the 47-44 victory.

It was the final Ladybug game for senior Rianna Clark who had the high score for the Alva girls. Aimee Chapman, who has been sidelined with an injury, also...
