Like many other events, the annual Lt. Governor’s Invitational Turkey Hunt in Alva was canceled last year. This year the event is scheduled for April 14-16.

Executive Director Neal Williams of the Woods County Economic Development Committee (WCEDC) spoke to the Alva Tourism Committee last week about helping with funding for the event. In addition to WCEDC, the event is sponsored by the Alva Chamber of Commerce, Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
