Next phase of vaccinations in Oklahoma to begin on Monday

 


OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma will open its next phase of people eligible for the coronavirus vaccine starting next week, deputy state health commissioner Keith Reed said Friday, including those in prisons and at homeless shelters.

"Starting Monday ... Oklahomans in congregate care or work locations; city, county and state leaders or elected officials; and public health staff supporting" front-line health workers will be eligible for the vaccinations, Reed said.

Nearly 1.2 million in Oklahoma have now received at least a first dose of the vaccine and more than 426,000 are fully vaccinated.
