Freedom school board approves itinerary for senior trip to D.C.

The Freedom Board of Education approved the senior trip itinerary and handled some routine business at its special meeting Monday evening.

The senior class trip – taking place from Sunday, May 16, to Saturday, May 22 – will take students to Washington, D.C., and to nearby historic sites in Virginia, rather than to D.C. and New York City as in years past.

At 3 a.m. on May 16, the seniors will leave for Oklahoma City, arriving in Washington, D.C., later that day. Some sightseeing may be available once they've settled in, but the real touring begins the next day.
