South Barber School can receive significant additional Covid money from fed $1.9 T stimulus

At the South Barber Board of Education meeting Monday night Superintendent Dr. Mylo Miller told the board that USD #255 is to apply for federal government Covid funds for education at the end of March. The funds would be made possible by the $1.9 trillion stimulus package passed by the U.S. Senate last weekend. The final version of the bill is expected to pass the U.S. House this week.

The first round of stimulus money would bring approximately $140,000 to USD #255. Then there would be an additional $360,000 for the school, Miller said.
