The municipal election is Tuesday, April 6. The Alva Review-Courier is featuring profiles and photos of each candidate filing for a City of Alva office. A few of the candidates did not respond to our request for information.

All registered voters in the Alva city limits will be eligible to vote on ALL city council seats, not just the one that represents their ward. There are races in all four city wards as well as for city treasurer.

Each Friday and Sunday we will feature candidates for one office beginning with Ward 1. The final profile will be on city treasurer candidates.

Important Dates

March 30 at 5 p.m. is the deadline to request an absentee ballot for this election.

Thursday, April 1, and Friday, April 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. will be early voting at the Woods County Election Board, located in the 400 block of 4th Street in Alva in the Professional Building.

Tuesday, April 6, is election day with voting from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
