These South Barber students were named Awesome Chieftain-Tornadoes students of the month for February. Superintendent Dr. Mylo Miller takes the monthly recipients to lunch at Sideline. The students are Channing Humphrey (2nd Grade), Jenna Shields (3rd grade), JD Baysinger (10th Grade), and Jacob Hughes (10th Grade). Miller said at lunch Channing and Jenna said they like all their teachers. Jenna complimented her bus driver Joni Fenton, telling that Ms. Fenton is her favorite because she makes her day every day! Channing told the superintendent her favorite subjects this year include anything that doesn't require her to wear a mask; outside masks breaks; recess and lunch! The superintendent said Jacob and JD finished off a large pepperoni pizza together. To be selected as students of the month, these students demonstrated responsibility, leadership and generosity. The students' parents received a letter with their teacher's nomination letter; and the students also received a certificate of recognition and a t-shirt.
