Burlington FFA Work Auction raises $17,000

An estimated 130 people attended Burlington's FFA work auction to enjoy a potluck supper, visit with their friends and support the FFA chapter.

An estimated 130 people attended Burlington School's FFA Work Auction and potluck meal held last week at the city hall and fire station. FFA Chapter Advisor Wyatt Shaw said they raised about $17,000 while "selling" the 37 FFA members.

Speaking of the generosity shown to the FFA, Shaw said, "I'm most appreciative of the community's dedication and support of our youth. Regardless of what FFA event we have, the community supports us. We couldn't do it without them."
