Alva Church of God

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Nathan Braudrick. Alva Church of God is located at 517 Ninth St. in Alva and can be found on the web at http://www.AlvaChurchOfGod.org.

Sunday: Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship is at 10:30 a.m. Evening worship begins at 5:30 p.m. Young adults gather at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Wednesday services include 7 p.m. Bible Study, and youth group also meets at 7 p.m.

Alva Friends Church

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m .; coffee and donut fellowship at 10:10 a.m .; worship at 10:30 a.m. However, all of our in-person meetings have been temporarily postponed. These will resume once the CDC gives the go-ahead.

Alva Friends Church is on the corner of College Avenue and Center Street.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Bible Baptist Church

Are you looking for a church with honest worship and Biblical preaching? Come and visit Bible Baptist Church. We would be honored by your visit to our services.

Our Family Discipleship will start at 9:30 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, a teen class, and two adult Bible classes. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Family Discipleship emphasizes family learning and will provide the tools necessary to help parents teach the Bible to their children.

Junior and Teen Impact, our student ministry for grades 6-12, meets at 5 p.m. Wise Guys, a character-based program for grades pre-K to third, resumes at 6 p.m.

Our evening service begins at 6 p.m. as we continue our study of the book of Acts.

Tuesdays: Celebrate Recovery meets from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program to help provide a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts and habits. Everyone is invited to attend.

Wednesdays: Our Wednesday prayer meeting and Bible study starts at 6:30 p.m.

Capron United Methodist Church

Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church

Pastor Nathan Hosier and the Cedar Grove family invite you and your family to come this Sunday to worship with us. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Alva Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has resumed in-person sacrament meeting service only on Sundays, 10-10:45 a.m. at the branch building located at 1467 Thunderbird, next to the Alva Recreation Center. Visitors are always welcome.

Members are encouraged to continue gospel study at home using the Come Follow Me manual. The study program for 2021 will be The Doctrine and Covenants. The manual is available online at the church's website: churchofjesuschrist.org. Hard copies are available at the church and can be picked up on Sundays.

College Hill Church of Christ

College Hill Church of Christ is currently meeting only Sunday morning (9:30 class, 10:30 worship) and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. No Sunday afternoon service or meal.

Dacoma United Methodist Church

Everyone is welcome. Fellowship coffee and doughnuts are at 8:45 a.m. Worship service with Rev. Don Jones is at 9 a.m.

eXtreme Youth Center

The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is available to rent for parties and events. First Assembly of God

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. We currently do not have an evening service.

Easter Sunday: We will have services at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary (please wear a mask), but will not have Sunday school. Worship will be both inside the sanctuary and online via Facebook live (www.facebook.com/FCCAlva). Rev. Drew Kirtley will bring the message.

First Presbyterian Church

Sunday: Sunday school will be at 9:30; worship and communion will be at 11 a.m. (with social distancing; masks required and provided if needed). Liturgist will be Greg Smith. Readings will be Romans 8:13-15 and 1 John 3:1-7. Rev. Ron Pingelton will bring the message “Child of God.”

Tuesday: Session meets at 6 p.m.

Wednesday: Youth group meets at 6 p.m. for a meal and Christian education.

Nazarene Church

Donut and coffee fellowship is at 9:15 each Sunday morning, Bible study for ages 6 and up at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for children under age 6 during worship. Missions lessons for ages 6 through fifth grade are held the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church
