Woods County emergency responders receive meritorious award

Three Woods County emergency responders receive the Meritorious Award from the Oklahoma State Firefighters Association. From left are Alva Fire Chief Bryan Miller, Woods County 911 Supervisor Ashley Woodall and Woods County Emergency Management Director Ethan Feidler. They received the award for going above and beyond their normal duties during the tragic events in Waynoka in January. They stepped in and helped keep structure amidst the chaos caused by two volunteer firefighters losing their lives in the line of duty during a structure fire in Waynoka.
