Oklahoma coronavirus case number averages are declining

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The rolling average of coronavirus cases in Oklahoma is declining, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

On Saturday, the rolling average of new cases had fallen by 27.4 during the past two weeks, from 321.4 daily on April 1 to 294 per day on April 15, a drop of 8.5%, according to the data.

The number of new cases per capita, 109.5 cases per 100,000 people, ranked ranks 47th in the nation.

More than 2.3 million coronavirus vaccine doses have been administered in the state, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
