Lost in the Pandemic: A digital memorial to Oklahomans who died from Covid-19

More than 8,000 Oklahomans have died from the Covid-19 pandemic that has swept the state, country and world in just over a year. Behind each death, there is a face, a story and loved ones left behind.

To provide a clearer picture of the pandemic’s impact and to memorialize those that we lost, Oklahoma Watch is creating a database of Oklahomans who died of the novel coronavirus, along with a brief description of that person’s life, a photograph (if available), and a link to a news story or their obituary.

By combing through public news reports and obituaries, we already have added 200+ names. B...
