KBI: Man's death in Coffeyville ruled a homicide

COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (AP) — The death of a man inside a Coffeyville home was a homicide, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Friday.

Coffeyville police who went to a home Wednesday night on a request to check the welfare of a person found the man dead.

A preliminary autopsy indicated the man's death was a homicide but the KBI did not say how he was killed.

It will take time to identify the man because of the body's advanced state of decomposition, the agency said.
