Rangers drop the series opener to SAU

 


MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Rangers dropped game one of the series to Southern Arkansas on Friday, 8-0 in Magnolia, at Dawson Field.

NWOSU falls to 8-29 overall and 3-28 in the Great American Conference.

Northwestern collected one hit by Allison Zanca in the top of the first inning.

Hannah Scoggin started throwing for 2.1 innings, allowing eight runs, seven earned on six hits. Zanca came in to pitch the final 1.2 innings, striking out two and not allowing a hit or a run.

Southern Arkansas took a 2-0 lead after an inning.

The Muleriders tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the second, taking a 4-0...
