Cleo Springs man dies in motorcycle crash

 


A Cleo Springs man died in a motorcycle wreck Friday, May 7, in Major County.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Kelly G. Nightengale, 64, of Cleo Springs, was operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on State Highway 8, traveling at a high rate of speed. He failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway to the left, struck a dirt pile and went airborne before coming to rest. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

The wreck occurred at approximately midnight on OK-8, 1.25 miles north of Cleo Springs.
