Man charged in death of Wichita QuikTrip security guard

 


WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A man was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder in the death of a security guard and former Wichita police officer.

Laroy Monzell West, 41, of Wichita, is accused of killing 39-year-old Will Robinson, who died two days after being shot on May 5 at a QuikTrip in Wichita.

Police said Robinson escorted West out of the QuikTrip after he caused a disturbance. Robinson was shot after a scuffle, police said.

West was also charged with aggravated assault and criminal possession of a weapon by a felon. And he was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of...
