Fair Plumbing is hard at work on air conditioner repairs Monday at the Woods County Courthouse.

Work began Monday on air conditioning repairs at the Woods County Courthouse. One unit will be going on the roof while the others are at ground level.

The Woods County commissioners present for Monday's meeting were Randy McMurphy, John Smiley and David Hamil.

The commissioners approved establishing Treasurer David Manning as an authorized representative for the county regarding ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act). County Clerk Shelley Reed said the ARPA money should arrive Tuesday. The county is still waiting for an interpretation of spending guidelines for the funds.

A copier and four computers from the court clerk's office were approved to be declared surplus. The state buys the equipment for that office so these items will be returned to the state.

The commissioners approved applications on four emergency repair projects in District 1 for the May 2019 ODOT (Oklahoma Department of Transportation) Flood Disasters. Hamil said the paperwork will make the projects eligible for FEMA and ODOT financial help.

Four permanent repair projects were approved for the May 2019 ODOT Flood Disasters in District 1. Hamil said these are also to qualify for FEMA and ODOT help, but unlike the emergency projects these repairs have not been completed.

The sheriff's monthly report was approved to include:

Sheriff's Collections $3,151.36

Board of Prisoners Expenses $4,778.96

Under new business, Smiley discussed some paperwork from American Electric Power, the company that will be taking over the Sundance wind energy project that Invenergy has completed. The paperwork was sent to the wrong address but addressed to the commissioners. Smiley intends to contact Invenergy to learn more about it.

The commissioners approved blanket purchase orders before adjourning.
