MARJORIE GAGNON

 

Marjorie passed away at the age of 85 years on December 14, 2020. Beloved wife of Ralph Gagnon for 66 years; loving mother of Francis (Lesley) Gagnon, Cynthia (Robert) Reed and Glenn (Georgianna) Gagnon; cherished grandmother of Amy Tilley, Adam and Andrew Gagnon, Katie (John) Gresko and Laura Cass, Matthew (Jordan Agee) and Daniel (Megan) Reed, Luke (Desirae) Gagnon and Abbey (Rich) Bachmann; a dear sister of Eddie Schmidtberger, the late Judy Braun, Cheryl Hammerschmidt, and Paul Walts; dearest daughter of the late Edmund and Elizabeth (nee Hertel) Schmidtberger; dearest great grandmother of Avery Tilley; Jack, Heaven, Lucas, Oliver and Isabelle Cresko; Sam, Max and Lucy Reed; Zoey, Izabella and Jerzee Gagnon.

Margie was born on the plains of Western Kansas in Victoria, a small town rich in German heritage. She loved time spent with family and friends, singing in the choir, crocheting and card playing, dancing the polka, and most importantly living her faith. Her life was truly a gift of love.

Services will be May 29, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Catholic charities of your choice through Wharton Funeral Chapel, 1302 Oklahoma Boulevard, Alva, OK 73717.
