FFA holds awards banquet

 

New FFA officers are (from left) Kaitlynn Rhodes, Jaci Weber, Ariana White, Levi Weber, Angel Laplante and Andy Townsend.

The 75th Annual Freedom FFA Banquet was held on April 23 in the American Legion building. The evening began with a welcome by Advisor David Turner and FFA President Kaitlynn Rhodes.

After the welcome, the officers went through the opening ceremony. The ceremony was followed by the meal. Invocation given by Vice President Jaci Weber. A slideshow invoked memories and activities that all members and officers had during the school year. After the slide presentation, awards were given out for proficiency, degrees, seventh grade recognition, star, and livestock awards.

The discovery degree was given out to Landon Cook, and Andy Townsend. Greenhand degrees were given to Jack Morris, Angel LaPlante, Michael Page, Fabi Franz and Maria Del Arco Liz. One chapter award was given to Levi Weber. Star awards were also given out. Beef showmanship was given to Levi Weber. Swine Showmanship was given to Ariana White. Sheep Showmanship was given to Kaitlynn Rhodes. Goat Showmanship was given to Fabi Franz. All Around Showmanship was given to Jaci Weber.

Outstanding Shophand was given to Levi Weber. Outstanding FFA Member was given to Kaitlynn Rhodes. The Work Horse award was given to Jaci Weber. Outstanding Dedication in FFA was given to Jaci Weber. Top Salesperson was given to Rustin Cook. The Honorary FFA Degree was given to Darci Immell.

After awards, the new officers were named. Kaitlynn Rhodes was renamed president and Jaci Weber was also renamed vice president. Secretary was given to Ariana White. Levi Weber was named treasurer. Reporter was given to Angel Laplante. Sentinel was named as Andy Townsend.
