Freedom Public School holds Little Olympics

The last day of school in Freedom was May 13 and included Little Olympics. Little Olympics is something the pre-K through sixth-grade students participate in and has been a traditional activity at Freedom for several years. This year everyone from teachers, staff, administrators and students, seventh through tenth grades, helped prepare and manage the event. Juniors and seniors were at vo-tech.

Results of the Little Olympics contests:

Discus – Fifth grade: Trenton Welty, first place with a throw of 40 feet; Bryson Sapp, second place with a throw of 29 feet. Sixth grade: Gavin Myatt-Stebens, first place with a throw of 47 feet; Tegan Cook, second place with a throw of 41 feet.

Frisbee Throw – Pre-K: Asher Henning, first place; K: Farryn Elrod, first place; first grade: Clayton Smith, first place; third grade: Skylynn Cole, first place; fourth grade: Brooklynn Wise, first place.


Long Jump – Pre-K: Paislynn Stearns, first place; Kindergarten: Kaydren Traugott, first place; Rigger Chumley, second place; Jude Braswell, third place; first grade: Zachaos Marsh, first place; Jaylee Baggs, second place; Ryder Wise, third place; Dante Lewis, fourth place; second grade: Brysen Holcombe, first place; Jack Wilson, second place; Kinzlee Sapp, third place; third grade: Tyler Pierce first place; Owen Braswell, second place; Paige Sterns third place; Reily Wise fourth place; fourth grade: Bode Smith and Jimmie Smith tied for first place; Brooklyn Riggs, second place; Reagan Wilson, third place; fifth grade: Trenton Welty, first place; Bryson Sapp, second place; sixth grade: Tegan Cook, first place.
