Motorcyclist hospitalized after hitting cow

A motorcycle rider was flown to a Wichita hospital after he encountered a cow on a road near Freedom. Keith Allen Sparks, 39, of Collinsville, was flown by AirEvac to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, where he was admitted in guarded but stable condition for trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
According to the report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 29, on Noble Road 78 feet east of the intersection with County Road 140. The location is approximately 13 miles north and six miles west of Freedom in Woods County.
