Wichita man who randomly stabbed woman sentenced to 24 years

 


WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Wichita man who stabbed a woman about 30 times in a random attack last year was sentenced Wednesday to just over 24 years in prison.

Wade Dunn was convicted in April of attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery for the Sept. 23, 2019.

Prosecutors said Dunn approached the 28-year-old woman after she loaded laundry into her car and stabbed her about 30 times without saying anything. The woman's 15-month-old child was alone inside the house.

The woman survived and her baby was not injured. After the woman said "I am a mother, please don't do this, please stop,"...
