Hoffman earns NCBWA All-America Honorable Mention Team Honors

ALVA, Okla. – Blake Hoffman and Rangers baseball earned another accolade on Thursday morning. Hoffman earns a spot on the NCBWA honorable mention All-America team. The Texas native qualified after being voted onto the NCBWA First Team All-Central in May.
His latest accolade comes after being previously named to the NCBWA First-Team All-Central team on May 24, Great American Conference second team in May, D2CCA First Team All-Region, ABCA/Rawlings All-Central First Team.
Blake Hoffman accumulates these awards following a big offensive season. The Rangers designated hitter finished the season hitting .443 on the year with a slugging percentage of .811 and an on-base percentage of .487. The batting average and slugging percentage were both GAC bests on the year, with his OBP third-most in the conference. His .443 batting average is the fourth-best in the nation. The Colony, Texas, native, completed the regular season with ten home runs, 21-RBI, 47 hits, and 28 runs scored for the Rangers, earning a spot as the DH for the NCBWA honorable mention.
He becomes the ninth Rangers player in program history to be named an All-America team, the third at the NCAA level. Jonathan Freemyer was the first selected in 2014 to the Third Team, and Johnnuelle Ponce in 2019 to the Honorable Mention team.
