Lambert receives scholarships to Northwestern

Delaney Lambert, a graduate of Alva High School, has been awarded five scholarships to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University during the 2021-2022 academic year.

Lambert will receive the President’s Leadership Class, the Regional Baccalaureate Scholarship, the Valedictorian Scholarship, the Alva High School Graduate (AHS) Scholarship and the Ranger Preview Scholarship.

All students selected for PLC were able to enroll for their fall semester classes early. PLC students receive a scholarship and an all-expense paid trip to a major U.S. city with university president, Dr. Janet Cunningham, and other PLC members.

The Regional Baccalaureate Scholarship pays tuition up to four years and the recipient will receive a check from the Regents to help pay towards other expenses, as long as a 3.25 cumulative grade point average is maintained.

The Valedictorian scholarship is reserved for designated students who have been honored with the Valedictorian title. The scholarship is renewable for up to eight semesters if requirements are met.

The AHS Graduate Scholarship is awarded just for being AHS grad.

The Ranger Preview Scholarship is awarded for participation in Northwestern’s annual Ranger Preview event.

She plans to major in English education while attending Northwestern.
