“Lower property tax is a good thing,” South Barber Superintendent Dr. Mylo Miller said about the anticipated “at least two mill decrease” as he works on the 2021-2022 Tax Budget for USD 255.
Dr. Miller and the board discussed the possible reduction from the current 17 mills. This was at the 30-minute special end-of-the-fiscal-year meeting June 24 at 7:30 a.m. He said this is possible because of the $240,000 carry over from USD 255's Local Option Budget (LOB).
