The Alva Board of Education held a special meeting Wednesday, June 30, to finalize the fiscal year and begin the new one. Tiffany Slater presided over the meeting in the absence of Jane McDermott. Other board members present were Larry Parker and Shane Hansen. Karen Koehn was also absent.

Superintendent Tim Argo announced Lianne Levetzow is retiring from Longfellow Elementary. “She has spent 29 years with our district and has done a fantastic job,” said Argo. Her husband, Jeff Levetzow, is also resigning from his bus driving duties.
