E. Flynn Street at Meno in Alva is closed Thursday as the city street department applies asphalt. Spring rains washed out supporting structures a couple of years ago. New culverts and concrete were installed, but the street surface was covered with gravel. With temperatures in the 90s and no rain in sight, the gap is now being paved.
