The Petunia Garden Club selected the yard of Bonnie and Verle Brady at 116 Elm St., Alva, as the July Yard of the Month. The Bradys moved from their farm northwest of Alva about 11 years ago. Since then they have been "farming flowers" in their yard.
Verle has made many cedar and landscape timber planters that are filled with a beautiful variety of plants. Many are filled with huge petunias in a variety of colors.
