Two charged in attempt to deliver contraband to JCCC

Two people are facing felony charges after law enforcement officials say they attempted to deliver contraband to an inmate at James Crabtree Correctional Center (JCCC) in Helena.
Court records show on Aug. 1, Agent Christopher Grace, Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC), received a phone call from Helena Chief of Police Jim Dykes. After searching for a man seen running away from the prison property earlier that morning, Dykes had stopped a vehicle at 3rd and Elva Streets. He told Grace the passenger matched the description of the man seen running from the prison.
