Two Enid men face more charges in copper thefts

Two Enid men who were charged following an attempt to elude officers now face another string of charges. A story in the Aug. 4 Newsgram reported on two men charged in the theft of oilfield copper and equipment. An alert oilfield employee spotted a pickup pulling a trailer that appeared to contain oilfield parts. He followed until an Alfalfa County deputy caught up and stopped the vehicle.

On Aug. 2 in Alfalfa County, Neal Scrimsher, 50, of Enid, was charged with three felonies: (1) knowingly concealing stolen property, (2) possession of stolen copper, and (3) larceny of equipment.
