The Alva Goldbugs took on the highly ranked 3A Kingfisher Yellowjackets for the first football game of the season Friday night. Although the 2A Goldbugs lost 46-8, it was better than the 54-6 loss last year. Under the leadership of new head coach Dave Foster, the Goldbugs struggled but showed some bright spots and a couple of tricky plays.
